APRN / PA - Urgent Care - Part Time

General Summary: Exciting opportunity for a part time Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our multi-specialty medical group practice, located in beautiful Central Florida. This position provides professional health care to Urgent Care patients following established standards and practices. Collaborates with physicians in managing medical needs of patients. The Urgent Care Clinic is open 7 days/week from 8:00 am - 8:00 pm. The Urgent Care Clinic treats illness and injuries. Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

General Examples of Duties:  (This list may not include all of the duties assigned)

• Obtains complete medical history and physical data on patients. 
• Interprets and integrates data to determine appropriate procedures as needed. 
• Orders appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures. 
• Administers medications and injections according to physician direction. 
• Instructs patients and family regarding medications and treatment instructions. Provides patient education. 
• Alerts physician when conditions worsen or if abnormalities arise. 
• Maintains patient confidentiality. 
• Performs related work as required. 

Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or physician assisting in addition to a successful completion of an approved nurse practitioner or physician assistant program. Possession of a clear/clean State of Florida APRN/PA license.

Experience: Prior APRN or PA experience required, Urgent Care experience preferred. Computer experience required.
