EMG Technician Part-time

Provides assistance to patients in the EMG Lab and performs brief neuromuscular examinations as requested by the physician. Performs pertinent

history of the patient's primary symptoms. Outlines the nature of the procedures and tests with patient. Candidate will measure electrical activity in the nerves, explain procedures to patients, monitor patients during tests, and compile test results into a report. Candidate may also assist with medical assisting duties within the physician's office.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school graduate or equivalent required.

Minimum 12 months clinical experience in field of EMG required.

Graduate of Neurodiagnostic Technology Program or equivalent preferred and registered from the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Technologists (AAET) as an Electromyographic Technician (EMG) required.
