Medical Laboratory Technician/Technologist

Conducts routine tests used in diagnosis and treatment of disease.

Performs venipuncture, capillary punctures on patients and identifies and labels specimens. Receives and collects specimens, conducts tests for evaluating individual health problems, inoculates and incubates cultures, makes preliminary identification of commion types of bacterial cultures, prepares solutions, reagents, and stains along with other related work as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED. Associate Degree with courses in Chemistry, Biology, or related field.

One year of experience in a medical laboratory preferred. Computer experience required.

Florida State License as a Technician (TC) or Technologist (TN).
