Phlebotomist/Laboratory Assistant
Collects blood and checks quality of blood from patients. Also responsible for a variety of reception duties within the Lab/Radiology department.
Performs venipuncture, capillary punctures on patients. Identifies and labels specimens. Cleans and sterilizes equipment, instruments and work area. Enters laboratory data into the computer system along with a variety of other reception duties.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED.
Graduation from an accredited phlebotomy progam along with one year of phlebotomy experience preferred. Computer experience required.
Phlebotomy certification preferred.
