Sample Ultrasonographer Job Description
Ultrasonographer
Provides ultrasound diagnostic tests for patients as ordered by the physicians. Conducts scanning procedures using ultrasound equipment. Requires knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology to pinpoint area of imaging.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED. Completion of course in ultrasonic technology (2 years) and/or 2 year radiology degree and 1 year Ultrasound training.
Minimum of one year or more experience as an Ultrasound Sonographer preferred. Computer experience required.
Must be registered in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS).
